Gwynne Shotwell

Gwynne Shotwell is the President, Chief Operations Officer of SpaceX and member of the Board of Directors. In her position, she manages the day to day running of SpaceX and managing all customer and strategic relations to ensure company growth. She joined SpaceX in 2002 as employee number 7 and rose to become Musk’s right-hand woman at the company.

Before that, Shotwell worked at Aerospace Corporation for 10 years and at Microcosm’s Space Systems Division. She graduated with both Bachelors's and masters in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics.

Tim Hughes

He is a Senior Vice President and General Counsel of SpaceX. He leads the company’s legal, regulatory and government affairs. Hughes joined SpaceX in 2005 and is based at the company’s headquarters in Washington DC.

Before joining SpaceX, he was the majority counsel to the Committee on Science and Technology in the US House of Representatives. He was also the principal attorney for the drafting and shepherding the passage of commercial human spaceflight legislation H.R 3752and H.R 5382.

Mueller attended the William and Mary Law School and Georgetown University School of Foreign office. He also worked with Drinker Biddle and Reath, LLP as well as being the Chief Counsel of the US Secret Service.

Joy Dunn

Joy Dunn is the Senior Manager of New Product Introduction at SpaceX. Her job is to lead a business-wide task force to take new rockets and spacecraft from design concepts to production. She has been in that position for one year and a half and has already put in place systems and processes to accommodate SpaceX’s pace of innovation.

She has worked at SpaceX for 8 years before her appointment and has cofounded Women’s Network and LGBTQ groups at SpaceX. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Umer Khan

Umer Khan is the Vice President of Information Technology and Security. He has authored about 25 professional certifications and has filed for 3 US Patents. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Illinois Technology and an MBA from Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bret Johnsen

He is the Chief Financial Officer of SpaceX. He does financial development of the company, interfacing with the financial community and the company’s financial operations. He has been at SpaceX since 2011, and prior to that spent nearly a decade at Broadcom Corporation. He joined Mindspeed Technologies as Senior Vice President.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Science in finance from the San Diego State.

Andy Lambert

He is the Vice President of Quality Assurance and Builds reliability at SpaceX. He spent 13 years at BMW Group in various positions. Before joining BMW, he spent 9 years in the Royal Air Force as an aircraft engineer.

Hans Koenigsman

Hans is the Vice President of Mission Assurance, He is responsible for assuring safety and success of SpaceX missions. He was the Launch Chief Engineer at the company and led SpaceX’s avionics department. He has a Ph.D. in aerospace and production technology at the University of Bremen and a Masters in Science in Aerospace engineering from the Technical University Of Berlin.
